My child is ready for the next challenge, what is an Open?

• Throughout the race calendar AusCycling will run an event hosted at a club in NSW, these are called “Opens or State Series”.
• All riders from the state are invited to attend these events and they usually offer small prize money.
• State racing runs from February through to the November, finishing with the NSW State Championships.
• National and International level racing is also available, however outside of the scope of this FAQ.

Who maintains the Castle Hill BMX Track?

• The track is maintained by CHBMX Club, we rely on sponsors and race entry money to cover track maintenance costs (soil, machinery etc), and volunteers to manpower.
• The council does not assist us with any maintenance however we do occasionally receive grants and help from the local and state governments which help us maintain improve our facilities.
• Before racing we kindly ask parents to arrive early and assist with track setup and event preparations.
